SALES

Justin Bro
Justin Bro joined SCF Premier as a sales executive in August 2007. Prior to joining SCF, Bro worked for Applied Underwriters, a workers' compensation and payroll processing company based in Omaha, Neb., owned by Berkshire Hathaway. During his time at Applied Underwriters, Bro serviced clients across the U.S., but concentrated on the Arizona and California workers' compensation markets. Bro received his bachelor's degree in business management and Spanish from Buena Vista University in Iowa. He holds PC licenses in Arizona, California, Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey and Virginia.

Craig Carson
Craig Carson has worked in the insurance industry for more than nine years. Carson has proven himself as a sales representative both in the captive and the Independent insurance sides of the industry. Prior to his career in sales he was a claims adjuster for three years handling auto claims. It was there he learned the value of having proper coverage for the insured. Carson graduated from the University of Arizona in May 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Prior to college he spent two years in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico, where he became fluent in Spanish.


Stewart Hineline
With 32 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Stewart Hineline worked in multiline coverages in brokerage, risk management and underwriter before joining SCF in 2005 as an underwriting specialist. Hineline has a bachelor’s degree in management from Metropolitan State University in St Paul, Minn. He joined SCF Arizona in December 2005 as an underwriting specialist and assisted in the development and launch of SCF Premier. He is licensed in California, Illinois and Minnesota.

Terry Sherman
Terry Sherman joined SCF Arizona in December 2006 as an Association Coordinator. In November 2007 Sherman became a sales executive with SCF Premier. Terry has 18 years’ insurance experience as a sales executive primarily in professional liability insuring hospitals, doctors, dentists and lawyers. Sherman holds a bachelor's degree from Hiram Scott College in Nebraska and attended graduate school at the University of Nebraska and the University of Denver. He holds PC licenses in 18 states.

LOSS CONTROL and RISK MANAGEMENT

Carl Hamilton

Carl Hamilton joined SCF Arizona in 1992, working in the areas of Human Resources and Loss Control/Risk Management. Prior to his current position, Hamilton was responsible for the daily operations and quality assurance program of the Loss Control staff throughout Arizona as well as all internal SCF Arizona safety and health issues. Hamilton has a valuable ability to take complex issues and translate them into simple tasks to drive the implementation of the necessary risk controls. Hamilton is very active in the field of safety and health and in addition to his work with SCF Premier he is a member of the National Association of Safety Professionals and holds leadership positions with the Council on Practices and Standards Committee of the American Society of Safety Engineers, the Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the Arizona Alliance for Safety and Health.

Dennis Reilly
Dennis Reilly has more than 25 years of loss control and risk management commercial casualty insurance experience. He spearheaded the National Construction Division for a national workers' compensation insurance company to reduce harm in the workplace. He drives operational systems as the priority for controlling losses, preserving financial resources and maximizing cost savings through implementation of various techniques of risk management principles. Reilly has a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Safety Management from the University of New Mexico, and is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Neil C. Van Tuyl
Neil C. Van Tuyl has more than 30 years of safety and loss control experience in the insurance industry where he has held both field and management positions with several major insurance carriers. He is a graduate of Arizona State University and the CNA Loss Control School in Chicago. He holds the professional designations of Certified Safety Professional and Certified Hazard Control Manager and is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. During his career, Van Tuyl has provided loss control services to employers in both private and public sectors including construction, manufacturing, trucking, healthcare, school districts, municipalities, public utilities and transportation.

ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVES

Joel Malone
Joel Malone joined SCF Arizona in November 2005 and is one of the original team members for SCF Premier. Prior to joining the SCF family he has several years of customer service experience. He is currently working toward his bachelor's degree. He holds his PC license in the state of Arizona.

Ginny Smith
Ginny Smith joined SCF Arizona in October 2004. During her nine-year career in customer service, she has specialized in insurance for the past seven years. Smith has obtained her WCCA – Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration certification - and currently is earning her bachelor’s degree.

CLAIMS

Denine Austin
Denine Austin joined SCF Arizona in August 2006 to work with the Claims Training and Compliance Team on special projects. She joined SCF Premier in July 2007 as the company’s first claims account representative. She has more than seven years’ experience in workers’ compensation claims, and has her certificate from the IEA for completing the required courses and examinations in Arizona Workers’ Compensation Insurance for Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration.

Leila Gordon

Lelia Gordon joined SCF Premier in November 2008 as a Claims Account Representative. Prior to SCF, Gordon worked at third-party administrators, most recently Avizent (formerly Frank Gates Service) as the dedicated adjuster of a large national account. Prior to that she worked at Liberty Mutual for nearly 6 years and was a dedicated senior case manager for large national accounts. She is licensed in Arizona and has two associate’s degrees from Paradise Valley Community College, from which she graduated summa cum laude.

Percy Spencer
Percy Spencer joined SCF Premier in April 2008 as a Claims Account Representative. Prior to SCF, he worked at Liberty Mutual for nearly 6 years and was a dedicated adjuster for large national accounts. Spencer graduated from Texas Christian University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree, and also has an associate’s degree from Central Arizona College. Spencer is licensed in Texas and Oklahoma and is currently working toward obtaining an Associate’s in Claims (AIC) designation.
